Beautiful 1966 Shasta Trailer for Only $4900

I love this old Shasta trailer that I found in the KSL Classifieds the other day.

It’s the 13 foot design, so you can tow it with a small SUV. The kitchen isn’t all retro because it has a microwave as well as a fridge, self-contained water, and even an air conditioner.

I don’t really care for the red zebra print upholstery, but I like the red retro vinyl.

It even has the original range with stainless steel splash.

I love these old trailers, but I’m not going to snap this one up, even though I want to. I can’t tow it with my current vehicle. I have no place to store it. There’s not enough room for all three of us to sleep (unless that is a fold-down bunk I see over the bed area). This trailer would just be a collectors toy for me and campers are a little big to make a collection of them.

I guess this is someone else’s dream trailer and I’ll have to wait for my own. Hopefully mine won’t have pristine red zebra stripe seat cushions.

  4. I really love it! It looks like my childhood Shasta that we took from Seattle all the way to New York! When I was age 10. I like what you did to it. I wish I had 4900. My mom gave the 13 foot 1966 Shasta from California . She brought it to me when I moved to California. In 2004, we left it with my husbands father until we could go back and get it when we moved to Oklahoma. About 5 years later, my husbands meth head brother sold it without my permission and without the title! My mom was so mad at me and I was very upset too! When I saw your Shasta for sale, I cried and cried as I really want my trailer back but will never get it back. I left my whole childhood fun and all my vacation memories behind . I’m now age 53 and have the suv to pull it. Just wanted to share with you my dream to buy a Shasta that looks just like the one I grew up with. I will start saving money to finally buy a Shasta . Thanks for reading, Barbara Priest

  6. This was my 1st camper & I just loved it! Yes, there is a sleeping area above the bed area but it would only fit two very small children (toddlers) or one small teenager. I’d say probably not more than 50-75 pounds, at most. It’s was a great little camper to have as an introduction to tag along campers & what is involved with towing, leveling, set up, etc. I’m happy to have seen this. Thank you for posting & giving me pause on memories from 30 years ago when things were simpler & happier.

    Best of luck!
